Reviews

The Panasonic Lumix CM1 screen cannot be viewed clearly when exposed to direct sunlight. Increasing the screen brightness will help in viewing the screen in such situations. In general terms, the camera takes around 2 to 3 seconds to record an image. This is true whether the image is saved on internal memory of external memory like a micro SD. There is also a delay for the captured image to be displayed on the screen. The images captured, YouTube videos, and the websites can be browsed clearly on the screen. The keyboard on the screen is also easy to use.

The features offered by the Sony Xperia Z4 (Xperia Z3+) are great, but the overheating issue is a problem that needs to be resolved.

Summary

The Panasonic Lumix CM1 would not replace a SLR, but it could take the same stage as the compact camera. It has a larger sensor than most compact cameras around. With the help of the android operating system, it is able to take more control of the features of the camera using many apps available. There are also features available to control the exposure like in most cameras. The downside of the device is, it takes a bit more time to process images and the screen reflections in very bright conditions.

On the other hand, the Sony Xperia Z4 is a typical smartphone with dust and waterproof features. There are features like quick charge features which lets the phone charge in less time. There exist an overheating issue, but that will hopefully solved in the near future.

Finally, a photography oriented user should go for the Panasonic Lumix CM1, and a regular phone oriented user should go for the Sony Xperia Z4 or Xperia Z3+.
